Tehran stop dealing in US dollars in trade exchanges

Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Iran, Gholam Ali Kmyab السبت announced January 23 that Iran no longer use the US dollar in business dealings with other countries.

The news agency reported the semi-official Iranian Tasneem Kmyab saying "Iran used to trade with other currencies of other countries, including the Chinese yuan and the euro, and the Turkish lira and the Russian ruble, and the South Korean won."

Iran's chief financial officer, noted that his country would consider the possibility of holding bilateral currency agreements with a number of countries for trade, economic and convenient transactions, adding that negotiations on the signing of such agreements will be launched soon.
